Vegas Single Deck Blackjack
Exactly as the name suggest, Vegas Single Deck Blackjack is played with only one deck of cards. Single Deck Blackjack makes the calculations easier and more advantageous to the players. It is a popular game of skill and chance between the player and the dealer. Its aim is for the player to achieve a hand that totals nearer to 21 than the dealer without exceeding 21.
The dealer will check his hand for a blackjack, which is an Ace and a card with a value of 10. The player loses if the dealer has a blackjack. However, if the player wins with a blackjack, the player is paid at the odds of 3:2 on the original bet. The game offers newbies to this game Auto-Play, which uses the in-built strategy chart to help inexperienced players to decide their moves. It's a great way to learning the game and a great tool for the expert to continue honing their skills.
- For splitting rules, all hands may be split only once. Aces may be split, but each hand receives only one more card. If an additional card that is drawn onto what is known as a split ace is a value of 10, then that hand is counted as 21 instead of blackjack.
- For doubling down, it is only allowed for hands which are valued from 9 to 11. There's no double down after a split.
- Doubling down will cost the player one time the initial bet. Insurance can be bought one time the initial bet, that's in case the dealer shows an ace.
- Single deck blackjack doesn't come with any option to surrender.
