Blackjack itself is a popular game, but the Europeans play it a little bit differently. In regular blackjack, as customary, dealer receives their second card after each of the players receives their second card. However, in European blackjack, as a rule, the dealer never receives his second card until after the respective players have played and finished their hands.

There are some people who think that it is easier to win European blackjack than regular blackjack, because you can hit 21 or close to it before the dealer ever completes their hand.

Some people use both the downloaded version on their computer and the flash version when they are away from home.

European Blackjack Special Rules

• Object of the game is to get closer to 21 than the dealer.
• If you get closer to 21 than the dealer, you win the amount you have bet.
• If you get blackjack (ace and jack of spades) you get 3:2 winnings.
• Blackjack beats a regular 21 point hand.
• Aces can be either 1 or 11, and these hands are called soft hands.
• Face cards are worth 10 points.
• All other cards are worth their face value.
• If you go over 21 you are bust and lose your bet.
• If you and the dealer get the same number of points it is a push and you get your bet back.
• Dealer must draw cards until hits at least 17, and must stand on 17 or higher.
