    Blackjack Single Deck Special Rules

  • Blackjack pays 1.5 times the initial win.
  • If the dealer has blackjack when the player does, the player wins.

In the game of blackjack, the number of decks that are used in the game will affect the house’s edge. In Blackjack Single Deck, the house edge is lower than if the game were played with the standard eight decks. By remembering the cards that have been dealt, you can easily reduce the house edge, or even get an edge over the house.

These single deck games were very common in the 1960s and 1970s, but card counting resulted in the popularity decreasing. This is why many casinos implemented the multiple deck games, along with the fact that multi-deck games move faster.

Nevertheless, casinos, especially online casinos, are now bringing Blackjack Single Deck back onto the scene.
